Editorial Policy
How we write, check and correct this site
Keep Them Spinning publishes product pages, storage guides and a directory of record shops. This page explains where that content comes from, what part of it is drafted with AI assistance, and who signs off before anything is published.
Who is responsible
Every article, guide and shop profile on this site has a named author and a named reviewer. Both are people, both work at Keep Them Spinning, and both are listed at the foot of the page they signed. If something on this site is wrong, one of the three of us is responsible for it.
How we use AI
We use AI assistance for parts of our work: drafting, translation into German, Spanish, French and Italian, and structuring large datasets. We say so plainly because we would rather you knew.
What AI does not do here: decide what we publish, invent a measurement, invent a review, or reach the reader without a person having read it first. No page is published on this site without human editorial review. The reviewer named at the foot of each page carried out that review and is accountable for it.
Where the data comes from
- Product measurements, load ratings and materials. Measured by us on the actual furniture. Load figures are the ones we have validated, not the ones we would like to publish.
- Record shop profiles (Vinyl Radar). Ratings, review counts, opening hours and categories come from public Google Business Profile data. Rankings, comparisons against city and national averages, and everything derived from our own dataset of 5,413 places are calculated by us.
- Market and industry figures. Sourced to the original publisher, with the year stated. Where we produce our own research, we publish the methodology.
Corrections
If you find an error — a wrong opening time, a shop that has closed, a figure that does not add up, a measurement that does not match what arrived in your box — write to admin@keepthemspinning.com.
We correct the page and update the review date on it. We do not quietly delete and pretend it never happened. Shop owners can also claim and correct their own listing through the Vinyl Radar badge page.
Affiliate links and paid placement
We sell our own furniture and we say so on every page that sells it. We do not take payment to include a shop in the Vinyl Radar, to rank it higher, or to write about it favourably. Where a piece of coverage about us was a paid placement rather than earned editorial, we do not present it as editorial — our press page links each article so you can judge it yourself.
