Do you store my Discogs collection or share it?

No. The estimator runs entirely client-side. We pull your public Discogs data into your browser, calculate the estimate, and never persist your collection or username on our servers.

How accurate is the market value estimate?

Accuracy is typically ±10 to 20 percent for mixed collections. For 500+ record collections the law of large numbers smooths most variance. Highly collectible pressings (first matrix, autographed, sealed) need an appraiser for defensible numbers.

What currencies are supported?

EUR, USD, GBP, AUD, CAD at launch. Discogs prices are converted using the daily mid-market exchange rate.

Will it work without a Discogs account?

Yes. Enter your collection manually by record count and condition mix. The estimate uses aggregate genre and era data, so it is less precise but still useful as a planning number.

Can I export my estimate as a PDF for my insurance broker?

Yes. At launch you can download a one-page PDF showing total value, top 10 records by value, and a date stamp. Some insurers accept this as supporting documentation for collector item riders.

Estimates extrapolate from a random sample (full collection if 20 records or fewer, larger sample with token). Bigger collections smooth more reliably.
Values are based on Discogs marketplace lowest prices × demand multiplier from want/have ratio. Outliers (autographed, first pressings, sealed copies) need a professional appraiser for a defensible number.
For insurance claims above $25,000 (or local equivalent) most insurers require professional appraisal. This number is a starting point, not a substitute.
Discogs prices reflect collector marketplace. Pawn or quick-sale realisation is typically 50–70% of these numbers.
Conversion to non-USD currencies uses Discogs daily rate.
