How it works

A 12-inch LP with jacket and sleeve weighs about 0.24 kg. So 100 records weigh ~24 kg, 200 ~48 kg and 500 ~120 kg — well beyond the ~13 kg that a typical particleboard cube is rated to hold, which is why solid wood matters for larger collections.
