What's the ideal turntable height and isolation?
Ear level when seated is optimal — for most people that's 28–32 inches from floor to platter. Our platform heights are tuned for this, and isolation comes from the material (Paulownia), not gadgets. Flat and level matters more than spikes.
How much weight can the platform actually hold?
Digger's Stack platform: 20 kg distributed (turntable + preamp + phono stage). Foreigner top: 15 kg. We rate conservatively — turntables with subs and power amps shouldn't share the same platform.
Damping feet or spikes?
Spikes couple the turntable to the floor — if your floor vibrates, so does your deck. Soft feet or Sorbothane decouple. We recommend decoupled feet for 95% of home setups; spikes only for high-end isolation tables.
